Revolve Engineering Inc. was hired by Brookfield Residential to provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure energy code compliance for all of Brookfield’s product lines including single family homes, semi-detached and multi-family buildings. The new Alberta Building Code requires all buildings to be built to the requirements of the new energy codes (Section 9.36 and NECB 2011). Revolve Engineering provided Brookfield with energy modelling services and expertise to model and optimize all of their product lines for the upcoming codes. Revolve provided Brookfield with detailed models and options which allowed Brookfield to achieve compliance with the lowest upfront cost.
Revolve Engineering has also subsequently been engaged by Brookfield to provide code compliance modelling and verification for all of their Calgary area buildings. Revolve will help guide Brookfield through a rapidly changing energy landscape which includes rapidly changing energy codes, carbon levies and changing energy costs.
