NAIT’s new Productivity and Innovation Centre is a 17,650 m2 high performance building featuring advanced manufacturing labs, acceleration spaces for business and a dedicated hub for applied research activity. The building mechanical system includes VAV, chilled beams and extensive use of heat recovery. The building also features a solar PV system on the south facade. Revolve Engineering provided energy modelling and consulting services which helped the building achieve a performance of 26% below the National Energy Code (NECB); the building is also targetting a LEED Gold standard.
